We'd love you to join us!  Some areas where your skills and enthusiasm could fit in:

Our dedicated group of volunteers meet twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) at 13 Craftsman Close Beresfield to work on the Catalina PBY-5A restoration - the same model that flew from the Rathmines Base.  We are on site between 8:00 and 14:00 . Team members share their knowledge and skills with each other, while preserving and building specific skills in aircraft restoration - and have a lot of fun.

  • Catalina restoration skills:  ANY sheet metal (aluminium), general mechanical, surface finishing (painting), hand and workshop tools etc.... You can work on Monday or Wednesday or both days. Hours are 'roughly' 8:00  to 14:00. An air whistle is blown for morning tea and lunch.
  • Other areas: marketing and media | fund-raising | running social events  | base tour guides |  supporting our public events

We have 115  Members in the Association - around 25 work as part of the restoration team including 8 young student members. Student Membership is $10. You could assist in either of the above or just become a member and stay in touch with the project via our member emails, our Facebook page or this web site. We would love to have join our journey.
