A heritage flight of the current and former RAAF maritime aircraft was conducted over Adelaide today, (28th November, 2016). Warbirds operated by HARS from Albion Park, NSW, (a PBY Catalina and Neptune), joined the outgoing RAAF P-3 Orion and the incoming P-8A Poseidon from RAAF Edinburgh in flight.

The RAAF has confirmed that aircraft wreckage found in waters south of Cairns is that of RAAF No. 11 Squadron Catalina A24-25, that crashed on February 28, 1943, killing all 11 personnel on board.
